Choco-Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
  • 2/3 cup shortening such as butter or margarine
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4-1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Procedure

  1. In large mixing bowl, cream the shortening by using a wooden or electric mixer. Slowly add the sugar. Beat in the eggs. Add the sour cream and vanilla.
  2. Beat the mixture until all ingredients are well incorporated. Set aside. This is the creamed mixture.
  3. In a big bowl, thoroughly mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. This is the flour mixture.
  4. Slowly add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in mini-chocolate chips. Set aside.
  6. Grease cooking sheets with lard or oil. Drop by teaspoonful on the greased cookie sheets.
  7. Make certain there is 1 inch distance for each cookie. Bake at 375°F for 8-10 minutes. Cool on wire rack. One recipe will yield 3-4 dozens of cookies.
